The drive from Munich
Via the Inn valley motorway to the Ötztal exit, then up the whole Ötztal past Sölden – about three hours from the airport.
Busiest travel days
Saturdays are changeover day almost everywhere in the Alps, with queues on the Inn valley motorway (A12) and resort roads. Christmas to New Year, the February school holidays (Germany, the Netherlands, the UK half-term and Scandinavia) and Easter are the busiest weeks – book early and allow extra time for the drive back to the airport.

The Ötztal road is the only access; on heavy snow days the last section can be slow, so plan your return pick-up with extra buffer.
